OSU Ranked in Nation's Top 20 for International Students and Study Abroad |

The Ohio State University ranks as one of the nation’s top 20 universities for its international student enrollment and the number of students studying abroad, according to a national report released today. Ohio State is ranked 14th among the nation’s colleges and universities for hosting 4,583* international students and 20th with 1,704 students studying abroad.

Mershon supports 11 students with study abroad scholarships |

Some hope to have a career in the State Department, U.S. Military, or intelligence community. Others want to work for the World Health Organization or in economic development. Some seek positions in international law and public policy.
These are a few of the winners of the 2009-10 Ralph D. Mershon Study Abroad Scholarship awarded by the Mershon Center for International Security Studies. The scholarship supports students who aspire to careers related to international security. Two awards were given to students researching issues related to peace and conflict resolution.

Plans Emerge for a Global University |

William Brustein, Vice Provost for Global Strategies and International Affairs, outlined a strategy for integrating international experiences and perspectives into the teaching, research and engagement mission of Ohio State at a University Board of Trustee committee meeting on Wednesday, October 28. Brustein explained to the Academic Affairs and Student Life Committee that the foundation of a global university is one in which internationalization is perceived as value-added across all disciplines rather than one that operates alone as a silo.
